Built to the
standard specified.

Your engineer specifies the standard. We fabricate and weld to it, so the steel that arrives on site is the steel on the drawings.

AS/NZS 5131

Structural steelwork: fabrication and erection

The Australian and New Zealand standard for fabricating structural steel. It sets the requirements for materials, preparation, dimensional tolerances and inspection.

AS/NZS 1554

Structural steel welding

The standard for welding structural steel. It covers welding procedures, welder qualification and the quality every weld has to meet.

Glendenning steel,
since 2010.

Zehra Naz Pty Ltd is a steel fabrication and boilermaking business in Glendenning, in Sydney's west. We have been fabricating steel for builders, head contractors and industrial clients since March 2010.

Racks of steel bar and section stock

We are a fabrication shop first. Work comes in as drawings and goes out as checked, tagged steel ready for site.

In between, it is cut, fitted, welded and inspected in our own workshop, fabricated to AS/NZS 5131 and welded to AS/NZS 1554. That is the work our clients rely on, and it is the work we have been doing for more than fifteen years.

Our clients are trade buyers: estimators pricing a package, project managers holding a program together, and engineers keeping a plant running. They need a fabricator who reads the drawings properly, says what the steel will cost, and delivers it when agreed.

Being in Glendenning puts the workshop close to the M7 and M4, so steel heads north, south and west without crossing the city. From there it goes to sites across Australia.

Three things
we hold to.

Simple to say, harder to do on every job.

To the drawing.

What is drawn is what is fabricated. Questions get asked before the steel is cut, not after it arrives on site.

To the standard.

Fabricated to AS/NZS 5131 and welded to AS/NZS 1554, with every assembly checked before it leaves the workshop.

To the date.

Steel that arrives late costs the whole program. We quote dates we can meet and keep our clients informed.
